Hi, I am the founder and owner of Kid O'Therapy. I enjoy working with children and bring a creative, fun and playful nature plus years of expertise when working with children. I graduated from the University of Southern Maine I 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Education. After a brief introduction to teacher I decided to pursue my degree in occupational therapy. I graduated from the University of New England with a Master's degreee in occupational therapy in 2001. Throughout the years I have practiced in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, orthopedics, hand therapy, neurological and amputee clinics, wheel chair clinics, mental health and pediatric settings. I feel the combination of experiences helps to bring a well rounded therapist referencing information from a variety of backgrounds from the people I have learned from.
Outside of therapy I am a mother of twin boys. In the fall and spring I coach soccer and I'm involved in a variety of local school activities. I am native to Maine, I love the coast as well as the farm land. In my spare time I enjoy lobstering with my sons, running with my dog, skiing and boating with my family and doing cross fit to stay healthy. When time permits I enjoy gardening, cooking and canning, quilting and crafts. Kid O'Therapy has been a dream of mine that has become a reality thanks to such a supportive community and the wonderful families we serve.
